| Description | Love Art? Love Selling and Helping Businesses with Marketing? Rare Opening at Art Magazine If you love artwork and like the idea of seeing art, talking art and helping art galleries and artists build their business we have a rare independent contractor opening selling ad space in our two publications art publications. Your role will be to sell print and web advertising and special promotions to art galleries and artists. Skills you must possess: - Responsible for meeting or exceeding monthly sales quota - Understanding of how the art/gallery business works - Understanding of media and how advertising works - Proactive outbound prospecting via phone and in person (in some cases) - Prospecting, lead generation and setting appointments - Responsible for providing reports on sales activity, forecasts and other measurement of objectives. - Tracking and managing of customers and potential customers through CRM software system - Good phone and in-person presentation skills - Some level of sales training - Personally disciplined to make a substantial number of daily sales calls and presentations. - Perform other related job duties as required |
| Qualifications | Must have: - Minimum 5+ years professional experience in B to B sales, gallery sales or media sales. - Proven written and oral communication skills • Ability to listen to the customer; this is not a scripted role • Strong work ethic • Passion for excellence in customer service • Ability to work independently and make decisions. - Useable skills with •Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Email communication, PDFs, Facebook and Twitter. - Experience with a CRM system like ACT or Salesforce.com - Thrive in a fast-paced deadline oriented environment • Ability to demonstrate complete sales process from beginning to end - Must have your own high speed internet and computer and phone - Must be able to work from home full time - Must meet required legal criteria for independent contractor - Commission based compensation If this sounds like a fit for you PLEASE follow these instructions exactly so you do not get overlooked: 1.
